We’re Hiring – Administrator

Role: Administrator
Full/Part Time: Flexible for the right candidate
Salary: £22,000 per annum – part time salary pro-rata

Launched in September 2015, the main aim of the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) North Highland programme is to build strong and sustainable partnerships between employers and education. Better preparing our young people for the world of work by inspiring confidence and helping them gain relevant employability skills for their future career. Under the Scottish Governments Young Person’s Guarantee, we are committed to connecting every 16 to 24 year old in Scotland to an opportunity. This could be a job, apprenticeship, further or higher education, training programme or volunteering.
To support this work, the DYW North Highland team are recruiting an Administrator. This role is flexible for the right candidate and could be full or part time. The salary is £22,000 per annum – part time salary pro-rata.

You will be responsible to the DYW Employer Engagement Officer and will work with them to provide an efficient administration service to the DYW programme. The following key tasks will be undertaken to achieve this:

  1. Provision of general office support services
  2. Filing and maintenance of records
  3. Assisting in the development and maintenance of effective administrative procedures and systems appropriate to the needs of the programme
  4. Organising events/meetings
  5. Updating and verifying of databases/website/Sharepoint
  6. Other duties as determined by the DYW Employer Engagement Officer

This is not an exhaustive list but a guide to the role. 

The DYW programme is hosted by Caithness Chamber of Commerce, who will be the employer. The Chamber operates a hybrid working model which means you will be required to work at least 50% of your hours time in the office based at Naver Business Centre, Thurso. Please note that while you become familiar with the role/organisation, you will be required to work from the office.
