Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 19th, as Young Enterprise Highland & Moray invites you to an exciting Enterprise Day in the Spectrum Centre, Inverness. This event is entirely free to attend and promises a day of insight into the incredible programs Young Enterprise has to offer.

Young Enterprise offers two exceptional programs:

1. Team Programme: The Team Programme is an immersive learning opportunity that introduces young people over the age of 15 with additional support needs to the realities of the world of work.

Young people learn by doing as they set up a registered business, assign leadership roles, generate product and service ideas and launch onto the market.

We focus on ensuring students develop transferable skills for learning, life and work to support them on their transition from secondary education. We consider additional support needs in a holistic way which encompasses:

  • Students with visible and invisible disabilities
  • English as an additional language
  • Emotional or behavioural difficulties
  • New Scots
  • Young Carers
  • Care Experienced young people

2. Company Programme: The Company Programme provides a real-life learning opportunity that introduces young people in S5 and S6 to the realities of the world of work.

Young people work in teams to set up and run their own Young Enterprise student company under the guidance of a Business Mentor. With access to our Virtual Learning Platform with extensive resources, videos and step-by-step guidance, teams make all the decisions about their business, from deciding on the company name, brainstorming product ideas, conducting market research, managing company finances. As well as selling to the public through pop up shops and our unique e-commerce platform Trading Station.

Young people gain the practical business experience, enterprising mindset and employability skills needed to help them build successful futures.
