As part of our ongoing work with primary schools across North Highland, the DYW team partnered with the North Highland College UHI to deliver a Junior Dragons’ Den Challenge for primary 7 pupils –
Using a variety of skills such as communication, teamwork, budgeting, creativity, marketing the teams had to produce this school bag and deliver a presentation to our Dragons’ Den Judges made up of local business people and NHC students. It was fantastic to see the pupils so enthused about this challenge and gain invaluable skills to help them progress their education and move into the world of work.
Helping young people across the region move on from education into the world of work with the skills and attitudes to succeed.
DYW staff delivered a workshop to S6 pupils from across the six North Highland secondary schools.
The workshop was designed to help the pupils identify their own personal qualities, enterprise skills and develop both their presentation and organisational skills. The pupils then confidently deliver these employability workshops to hundreds of S1 pupils over North Highland Region.
