Job description
Post Title: Building Standards Surveyor (Graduate Apprentice)
Location: Drummuie Offices, Drummuie, Golspie
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: HC03 to HC09 – £23,878 to £46,410 – Placing will be dependent on experience and qualifications
Essential skills/abilities
The candidate must have achieved a minimum of 3 Highers at BBC or above (Subjects: Higher Maths and English at B; Higher Physics or other science/technical subject at C or above)
· The candidate must be computer literate with IT skills in Microsoft Office applications.
· Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work with minimum supervision but also contribute as part of the team.
· Demonstrate an ability to achieve results within targets.
· Be highly motivated and enthusiastic.
· You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
· Ability to carry out site visits and building inspections.
· Ability to find solutions to problems and be responsive to change.
· Manage time effectively.
